How to register for Fibre with Axxess
Signing up for Axxess is as simple as 5 steps :
First you have to head over to the Axxess website at www.axxess.co.za and click on fiber to look at their fibre deals. Then Select uncapped fibre and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and input your address.
Once you input your address, and it shows you what fiber providers and packages are available in your area, proceed to choose your preferred service provider and select your line speed.
Complete the additional information required and add the package to your cart. You can add a free fiber ready router with a once-off delivery cost of R259. Proceed to checkout, your secure order will be summarized. Accept terms and conditions and proceed.
Now all you have to do it wait for your order to be processed and await for the installation team to come through an complete the installation.
Once the Installation has been completed, the fiber is not ready to go right off the back. Axxess has to do some checks from the back end and make sure everything is running well and that your service provider is connected to the network properly. If your installation is completed early in the day, within half an hour your fiber will go live.
Within that half an hour the guys from Axxess do their checks and then will send you an email. They will let you know that your fiber is live and has been activated. They will send you your fiber details and steps to complete your fiber router setup.
To complete your fiber router setup and to get connected to your fiber you are going to do a few things.
- First you are going to need two LAN cables. One of which is going to connect to ONT (Optical Network Termination) of your Fiber box to LAN port 1.
- Then you plug the second LAN cable into the ethernet port of your router and to your laptop or PC.
- After everything is connected, go ahead and switch everything on. If your router comes preconfigured from Axxess, you will be redirected directly to the page to set up your fiber.
- For unconfigured routers, you have to log into your router and go into internet settings and go to manual internet setup. Change the internet setting from PPPoE to Dynamic IP.
- The final step is authenticate and activate your fiber connection. Head over to www.fiber.internet.co.za and enter your username that was sent to you in the email when installation was complete.
- Click on activate and now you have blazing fast internet!
