8 Tips on how to keep any smartphone operating faster

1) Restarting your phone

Most of the time a simple restart will solve most of our issues because we tend generally not to ever restart our phones, unless it actually dies and switches off on us. That is somewhat of a bad thing, so that is why a simple restart can solve 99.9% of problems.

2) Uninstalling unwanted apps

Unwanted apps consume a lot of storage space and cache space. It even updates in the background which consumes energy which allows your smartphone to preform slower than it generally does.

3) Clearing cached app data

With phones being on for prolonged periods of time, apps cache so that they can preform faster. What tends to happen is that if you open an app once, and don’t open it till many days later – the app caches. So therefore it is good to clear cache app data so it allows other apps to use that data space.

4) Freeing up internal storage

It is basically keeping as much free space on your phone, for your phone to preform as usual. If you have even run out of storage space on your phone, you know how slow it tends to become. It starts lagging and is very difficult to operate with. The easiest thing to do is to have an SD card, it allows your internal memory to be free and whatever you need to story will be on your SD card.

5) Keeping your phone up to date

Android pushes out updates, because not only are they fixing vulnerabilities, but they are finding ways for resources to preform better and work faster.

6) Disabling animations

A lot of the time with new Samsung phones, they have animated backgrounds and lock screens that change and preform in a certain way. These are consuming resources to do these visually appealing things which are definitely slowing down your phone.

7) Using lite version apps

Apps like Facebook lite, Tiktok lite and even Instagram lite are much smaller versions of the original apps. They preform more or less the same and provide you with the main function of the app.It is a lighter version and also data efficient as it uses less data.

8) Factory Reset

There is a reason why this is the last on our list, because a factory reset isn’t the first go-to thing and is generally your last resort. It provides the best effort in freeing up your phone space because it clears everything and gives you a fresh phone. Even though the cosmetics of your phone aren’t brand new, the phone mentally feels new because it has a fresh restart on its operating system and memory. You wont have junk that was weighing you down and old applications that you would have never used in months.
