Remote and Google Assistant

On the remote we have our regular functions as well as Netflix, YouTube, Google Play and Amazon Prime Video hot-buttons. The remote also has a Google Assistant button. If you do not want to use the remote, the Google Assistant is very helpful because all you have to do is say “Hey Google” and tell her your command. Google can help you with any sort of commands and is absolutely helpful. It does however make you lazy, because instead of using the remote you just have to say “Hey Google, turn on the TV” or “Hey Google, increase the volume”. Even if someone does not know how to navigate their wy around a smart TV, all they have to do is ask Google and Google will help them. This can also integrate into a smat home.

If you are not very trusting of the Google assistant, you can turn it off at the back of the TV and Google will not be listening to you. How you know this is by the colour of the dots underneath the TV. If it is white Google Assistant is on and listening, and if it yellow Google assistant is turned off.

Pros

  • Google playstore, you will always be up to date and you wont be using a 3rd party OS that tries to connect to the TV, Which we do experience with some other brands. It is Googles operating system so we will be receiving updates to the software and have access to the Playstore.
  • Built-in chromecast.
  • Google Asistant.

Cons

The TV did not come with a 3.5 mm audio out jack. That is how we conneted our soundbar previously, but with it coming with 3 HDMI ports, we decided to sacrifice one to use the HDMI Arc.

SS330 – 2.1CH Soundbar

The soundbar ties the entire system together. Even if you were not looking at the TV you would still be enjoying the viewing experience.
