GameOn with HP Gaming Garage Hackathon: Top 10 Teams to Shine at rAge 2024
Attention gamers and developers! HP and RGB Gaming are thrilled to announce the GameOn with HP Gaming Garage hackathon, designed exclusively for higher education students and game developers aged 18 and over. This exciting event invites teams to create games that celebrate South African Heritage, blending culture, storytelling, and creativity.
Showcase Your Talent
The top 10 teams will present their prototypes live at the really Awesome Gaming Expo (rAge) 2024, scheduled for November 29th to December 1st at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec. Jaco Sauer, Co-Founder of RGB Gaming, shares his excitement: “We are thrilled to bring the GameOn with HP Gaming Garage hackathon to life, giving game development enthusiasts 18+ a fantastic platform to unleash their creativity and contribute to game development in a meaningful way. Creative Challenge
Participating teams will receive valuable guidance and resources from the HP Gaming Garage course, helping them bring their ideas to fruition. The challenge is to create innovative games that reflect Heritage Day and celebrate South Africa’s rich culture and history. The top games will not only be showcased at rAge, but the three winning teams will also be announced on stage.
