Next-generation nozzle-changing technology arrives with the new Creality K3 Series, opening up new possibilities for multi-colour, multi-material and TPU 3D printing
Johannesburg, South Africa – September 2026 – 3D printing is about to get more versatile at Comic Con Africa, with Creality set to officially launch its new KliTek™ nozzle-changing technology to the African market.
Designed as part of Creality’s next-generation K3 Series, KliTek™ aims to address some of the challenges associated with traditional single-nozzle 3D printing, particularly when working with multiple colours and materials. Instead of repeatedly retracting and purging filament when changing materials, KliTek™ uses a multi-channel nozzle-changing architecture designed to make switching faster while reducing material waste.
A New Approach to Multi-Material 3D Printing
One of KliTek™’s key features is its ability to change nozzle assemblies in under five seconds, while a full material change can be completed in under 15 seconds according to Creality. The system is designed around independent filament paths, helping reduce the need for extensive purging and limiting waste primarily to the wipe tower.
The technology also brings new possibilities to TPU 3D printing. KliTek™ is designed to handle TPU materials as soft as 80A, allowing makers to explore applications ranging from flexible models and cushions to footwear and other functional designs. Creality’s S-Drive™ dual-drive feeding system is designed to improve the feeding of flexible filament, while the company says KliTek™ can achieve TPU 95A printing speeds of up to 15 mm³/s.
Another feature is the ability to combine different nozzle diameters within the same printing workflow. For example, a 0.4 mm nozzle can be used for detailed outer walls while a 0.8 mm nozzle handles faster infill, allowing users to balance detail and print efficiency.
From 3D Printing to Creative Possibilities
For the creative community, the technology is about more than simply printing faster. KliTek™ is designed to enable multi-colour, multi-material and multi-hardness prints in a single build, potentially opening up new possibilities for makers, designers, 3D printing enthusiasts and small creative businesses.
Creality also highlights applications such as combining rigid and flexible materials in one print, using water-soluble support materials and creating more complex multi-material models. The technology’s modular approach is another part of its design. Rather than replacing an entire toolhead, KliTek™ replaces the nozzle, hotend and filament tube assembly, with the interchangeable assembly weighing around one-fifth of a full toolhead.
