It is marketed as an entry-level DSLR camera for beginners and experienced DSLR hobbyists who are ready to take advantage of more advanced specs and performance.

The product has been discontinued and this means means you’re most probably purchasing it second hand. If you’re purchasing a Nikon D3200, you’re looking at a price range of around R3000 but when assessing the camera besides looking at the external appearance, you should take shutter count into consideration because the D3200 has shutter has a life span of around 100 k shots after which the shutter has to be replaced.

The Nikon D3200 is an awesome product, used by a beginner it has allowed many of us at Tech Scene ZA to learn the use of a DSLR . we have made use of it mainly for video, but have taken a substantial amount of pictures as well.

The Nikon D3200 is
Ranked #30 out of 78 in Compact SLR cameras
Ranked #198 out of 1200 in all Cameras

Our Final Verdict

it is great for someone learning photography, it takes excellent pictures and videos and because you’re purchasing it second hand its convenient for you with it being cost effective and if you change your mind about photography or if it doesn’t get used much you know you didn’t waste a lot of money.
