D-Link DWR-932M

D-Link DWR-932M

The D-Link DWR-932M is a 4G LTE pocket router, which uses 4G internet connection to give you an easy to set up WIFI network anywhere you need one. Instead of limiting your mobile network connection by your phone. The 932M allows you to create a WIFI hotspot and share your connection with multiple devices.

Product features

  • It can support downloads of up to 150 megabits per second and uploads of up to 50 megabits per second.
  • The WIFI speed is a download of 300 megabits per second and it can support up to 10 devices, with it being on the 2.4GHz bandwidth with channels 1 to 13.
  • It has internal LTE antennae and 2 by 2 internal WIFI MyMo antennae.
  • It has WPA and WPA2 psk auto security.
  • It has a WPS push connection button.

This device has a simple setup, with all you having to do is open the back, remove its removable battery and insert your sim card.

This device is suited for anyone who is on the move and who does not want to carry around a lot of devices or a bulky router. This is quite slim, small, it does fit in your pocket and is easy to carry around, compared to other pocket MiFi routers on the market.

Benefits

  • The DWR-932M has fast mobile connection, it was tested at ComicCon where there was about 20 000 people in and around the area. So all their devices were connecting to the towers, and on a cellphone connection was poor. The DWR was sustaining a decent connection in that situation. This maintained a decent connectivity speed and at no point connection was lost.
  • 4G connectivity.
  • 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery allows you to stay connected for longer.
  • Uses a micro-sim card.
  • It has a display screen, so you actually know whats happening with your router.
  • D-link MiFi app.

Pros and Cons

Pros Cons
Screen
Speed
Battery life
Ease of use

While testing this because it was battling for network connectivity, the battery did not last as long. Since it was searching for network connection, it drained the battery. It was tested again in Durban, and it did fulfill the battery life, even with 2 devices connected. The amount of devices connected to the router does not impact it’s battery life, it’s more the network searching.

This is an excellent device to use, and if you are looking for a pocket router I highly suggest this. For it’s price, it might not be the cheapest, but it is one of the better pocket MiFi devices.
