TCL Unveils 2026 Product Lineup for South Africa, Bringing Revolutionary SQD-Mini LED TV Technology to Local Consumers for the First Time

Johannesburg, 16 April 2026, Global No.1 Mini LED and Ultra Large Screen TV brand (75”+) according to OMDIA 2025, and the No.1 brand locally for Mini LED TV unit sale in H2 2025, TCL continues to push the boundaries of display innovation with the introduction of SQD-Mini LED in South Africa

The launch marks a major milestone for the local market, with TCL becoming the first to introduce SQD-Mini LED technology with full range Audio by Bang & Olufsen in South Africa, a generational leap in display science that promises to set a new benchmark for brightness, contrast, and colour precision. In addition, TCL also unveiled its exciting new range of Google Smart Home air conditioners and home appliances.

A New Standard in Home Entertainment: Meet the C7L and C8L

At the forefront of TCL’s 2026 TV range are the flagship C7L and C8L models, two premium displays that showcase the full potential of SQD-Mini LED technology. Building on the foundation of QD-Mini LED, SQD-Mini LED represents a major leap forward in display innovation. By enhancing the Mini LED backlight, quantum dot layer and panel-level colour filtering, TCL has achieved exceptional gains in brightness, contrast and colour accuracy, delivering a truly immersive, cinema-quality viewing experience.

Unlike RGB Mini LED, which alters the light source itself, SQD-Mini LED uses a refined blue LED backlight paired with newly formulated quantum dots and TCL’s proprietary Ultra Colour Filter. The result is improved colour accuracy, reduced colour crosstalk, and a noticeable boost in overall picture performance.

The TCL C7L is designed to bring flagship performance into more homes, offering exceptional brightness, precise light control and vivid colour reproduction. With thousands of local dimming zones that virtually eliminate “blooming,” the C7L delivers deeper blacks, sharper highlights and impressive clarity across all types of content, from fast-paced sports to high-resolution gaming and cinematic viewing. It also features premium, immersive audio co-developed with Audio By Bang & Olufsen ensuring that sound quality matches its stunning visuals.

Stepping up even further, the TCL C8L takes performance to the next level. With an increased number of dimming zones and enhanced processing capabilities, the C8L delivers even greater precision in light control, improved shadow detail and more refined contrast. Combined with TCL’s advanced panel technology and ultra-wide colour gamut, the result is a display that stays true to the creator’s intent, offering richer, more lifelike visuals at any time of day.

Both models are purpose-built for larger screens, making them ideal centrepieces for modern living rooms, and are engineered to perform exceptionally well in bright environments. For consumers, this translates into brighter images, deeper contrast, and more lifelike colour across everything from sport to gaming and streaming.

Premium Audio by Bang & Olufsen

Across the full C7L and C8L range, TCL has partnered with Audio by Bang & Olufsen to deliver a premium audio experience that complements the advanced display technology. Expertly tuned to provide clear dialogue, rich bass and immersive surround sound, the system is designed to bring greater depth and realism to everything from movies and live sport to gaming. The result is a more complete, cinema-like experience at home, where sound and picture work seamlessly together.

Expanding the Google Smart Home Ecosystem: Connected Aircon & Washing Machine

Beyond home entertainment, TCL is continuing to strengthen its position in the connected home space with the introduction of a new range of smart appliances designed for convenience, efficiency and modern lifestyles.

Leading this category is the new C5 range of washing machines, including the C512WDG and C512FLG models which come equipped with TCL’s Super Drum Technology.

The new C5 range also brings smarter, more connected functionality into the home, with built-in Wi-Fi enabling users to control and monitor their washing machines remotely via the TCL Home app. Both models feature intelligent washing technology that automatically optimises water usage, temperature and cycle time based on the load, ensuring efficient performance without compromising on fabric care. Additional highlights include energy-efficient operation, multiple specialised wash programmes tailored to different fabric types, and a durable, quiet motor designed for long-term reliability, making everyday laundry simpler, smarter and more efficient.

Further expanding its home appliance offering, TCL has also introduced the TCL P774SBGWD 627-litre No Frost Inverter Side By Side Refrigerator with water dispenser and its new FreshIN 3.0 technology across its full range of air conditioning solutions, from connected AC units for the home to its commercial systems. Designed to improve indoor air quality, FreshIN 3.0 actively draws in fresh outdoor air while pushing stale air out through a quadruple filtration system, effectively reducing pollutants, odours and airborne particles. The result is a cleaner, fresher indoor environment, particularly noticeable overnight, so users wake up to healthier, more breathable air.

Driving Innovation and Accessibility in South Africa

With its 2026 line-up, TCL continues to reinforce its commitment to bringing world-class innovation to South African consumers, combining premium technology with competitive pricing to make high-end experiences more accessible.

“South African consumers deserve the very best in picture quality and home technology without the premium price tag. As the first to bring SQD-Mini LED technology to the local market, we are proud to deliver exceptional brightness, cinema-grade colour accuracy, precise light control and immersive audio at prices that make true flagship performance more accessible than ever before,” says Mr Mike Chen, General Manager at TCL South Africa. “With our new range of TVs and connected home appliances, we are focused on delivering smarter, more immersive and more accessible technology that enhances the way people live, connect and experience entertainment at home.”

Pricing and Availability

TCL is committed to making premium technology accessible to South African consumers. The TCL C7L is available for purchase immediately at leading retailers nationwide, with the 65” available from R19,999, the 75” from R22,999, the 85” from R29,999 and the 98” from R49,999. Pricing for the TCL C8L has also been confirmed, with the 75” available from R29,999, the 85” from R34,999 and the 98” from R99,999. Launch dates for the C8L, as well as the C5 Washing Machine range and the P774SBGWD Side-by-Side Fridge, will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

TCL Set to Be the First to Bring Groundbreaking SQD-Mini LED Technology to South African Consumers in 2026

Johannesburg, 31 March 2026 | TCL, the No.1 brand locally for Mini LED TV unit sales in H2 2025, is proud to announce that it will be the first to introduce its groundbreaking SQD-Mini LED (Super Quantum Dot Mini LED) display technology to South African consumers in 2026.

SQD-Mini LED represents a revolutionary advancement in Mini LED performance. It transforms conventional local dimming into ultra-precise dimming zones, delivering unrivalled control over highlights and deep shadows while achieving cinema-grade colour accuracy.

While RGB Mini LED, the previous generation of tech, represented an important step, SQD-Mini LED moves two generations ahead by combining Super Quantum Dot technology with an advanced Ultra Colour Filter Panel. This eliminates colour crosstalk, dramatically improves colour accuracy, and delivers superior light control, making SQD-Mini LED the new pinnacle of performance.

Unlike outdated RGB Mini LED backlights that attempt to change the light source itself, TCL’s SQD-Mini LED uses a highly refined blue LED backlight paired with newly formulated quantum dots and TCL’s proprietary Ultra Colour Filter Panel to eliminate colour crosstalk and significantly boost both colour gamut and quantum dot accuracy, delivering up to a 33% improvement in colour gamut and a 69% improvement in quantum dot precision compared to previous generations.

Flagship SQD models, such as the X11L, can achieve peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits with more than 20,000 local dimming zones (on the 98″ model), full coverage of BT.2020, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces, and wide viewing angles via the WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel. The result is stunning HDR performance, true-to-life colours, no risk of burn-in, and a slimmer, more elegant design — all at a level that redefines what premium TV viewing means.

What truly sets TCL’s SQD-Mini LED apart is the superior panel technology. TCL’s specially engineered screen and anti-reflection coating produce noticeably crisper, clearer images with reduced glare and enhanced native contrast – even in bright South African living rooms. This combination delivers deeper blacks, more vibrant colours and smoother motion without the burn-in risk associated with other premium technologies.

Crucially, TCL is making this flagship-level performance accessible. By pairing SQD-Mini LED’s superior picture quality with Audio By Bang & Olufsen full-range audio systems, consumers can now experience cinema-grade visuals and immersive sound at prices that challenge conventional premium categories, opening up high-end TV technology to far more South African households.

Mr Mike Chen, General Manager at TCL South Africa, says “South African consumers deserve premium picture and sound without the premium price tag. As the No.1 brand in Mini LED units sold in SA in H2 2025, TCL is proud to be the first to bring SQD-Mini LED technology to the local market. With exceptional brightness, cinema-grade colour accuracy, precise light control and immersive performance, SQD-Mini LED will change how South Africans experience movies, sport, gaming and everyday entertainment, all at pricing that makes true flagship quality more accessible than ever before.”

As TCL continues to lead advancements in Mini LED and QLED technologies globally, the arrival of SQD Mini LED in South Africa reinforces the brand’s commitment to delivering world-class innovation, performance and value to local consumers.

SQD-Mini LED will debut in TCL’s 2026 premium lineup which include; full range Audio By Bang & Olufsen TVs as well as Google Smart Home Appliances. More details on product availability and local retail partners will be announced in due course.

TCL South Africa Redefines the Premium Viewing Experience with the C7K QD-Mini LED Series

Johannesburg, 19 March 2025 | TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics and the world’s No.1 Ultra-large, Mini LED, and Google TV brand, continues to deliver a world-class viewing experience to South African consumers with its C7K QD Mini-LED TV, a TV engineered to challenge the boundaries between traditional television and professional cinema.

Featuring screen sizes up to 98 inches and premium audio by Bang & Olufsen, the C7K Series brings professional-grade cinema and next-gen gaming into the South African home.

The C7K Series is designed for those who demand more from their screen-whether that’s sharper gaming, immersive movie nights, or simply an ultra-vivid sports match. Featuring QD-Mini LED technology and TCL’s Precise Dimming Series, the C7K boasts up to 2048 dimming zones on the 98-inch model, offering deeper blacks, contrast and colour gamut levels comparable to OLED , while also providing higher peak brightness and a longer lifespan.

HDR Premium 3000 and 144Hz Motion Clarity

Visual performance is driven by HDR Premium 3000, capable of reaching 3000-nit peak brightness on supported models. The C7K also supports HDR Premium 2600 on the 65-inch model. This enables accurate rendering of high dynamic range content across Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG formats.

All models in the C7K range feature a native 144Hz panel with Motion Clarity Pro for fast-action motion smoothness. This makes the range suitable for high frame rate gaming and live sports viewing. The AiPQ Pro Processor is included across all sizes, enabling real-time picture optimisation based on scene and content type.

Viewing at any angle, any time of day – CrystGlow HVA Panel and Anti-Reflection Coating

With TCL’s CrystGlow HVA Panel, the C7K dramatically reduces screen glare and enhances native contrast, delivering clearer, richer visuals in both bright and dim environments. This advanced liquid crystal technology enhanced with special nanomaterials precisely controls light for stunning contrast and vibrant visuals. A nanoscale low-reflective film minimises screen glare, ensuring you see every detail with remarkable clarity. Combined with both HDR Premium 3000 and a native 144Hz refresh rate, content comes to life in ultra-smooth motion and cinematic clarity.

Bang & Olufsen Sound System

The C7K introduces Audio by Bang & Olufsen to TCL’s mid-premium range, integrated on all models from 65 to 98 inches. These units deliver enhanced stereo separation and tuned acoustic performance for a more immersive AV experience.

QD-Mini LED with Precision Lighting Zones

The C7K Series incorporates Quantum Dot Mini-LED panels with up to 2048 local dimming zones, depending on screen size. The 98-inch reaches 2048 zones while the 85-inch uses 1568, the 75-inch 1248 and the 65-inch 1008 zones. This fine granularity in light control is powered by TCL’s proprietary All-domain Halo Control Technology, shaping precise light zones for better contrast accuracy and reduced haloing around bright objects.

As South African consumers increasingly seek “all-in-one” entertainment hubs for high-stakes gaming, live sports, and cinematic streaming, the C7K Series arrives as a powerhouse solution. The TCL C7K series represents a strategic shift in the market, providing ultra-large-screen luxury and cutting-edge tech at a price point that remains accessible to the premium South African consumer.

TCL’s C7K model is available atThe Digital Experience, New World, Expert Storesand other retailers across the country.

Johannesburg, 24 February 2025 | When it comes to buying a new television, bigger often feels better. But according to leading global consumer electronics brand TCL South Africa, understanding what “TV inches” actually measure could be the difference between creating the perfect home cinema experience, or ending up with a screen that overwhelms your space.

With demand for 65-inch and larger screens accelerating, TCL is encouraging consumers to think beyond “bigger is better” and instead focus on choosing the right size for their space, viewing distance and lifestyle.

“Choosing the right TV size is about creating an immersive, comfortable viewing experience tailored to your space and lifestyle,” says Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa. “In 2026, we’re seeing a clear industry trend toward larger screens, driven by consumers’ desire for that true cinematic feel, whether it’s cheering on the Vodacom Bulls, binge-watching series, or hosting family movie nights. Consumers want a screen that fits seamlessly without overwhelming the room.”

As more South Africans upgrade to larger screens, TCL is helping consumers make smarter decisions by demystifying one of the most misunderstood aspects of TV buying: screen size.

What TV Inches Really Measure

When a television is labelled as 55 inches, 65 inches or 75 inches, that number refers to the diagonal measurement of the screen from corner to corner, not the width. This common misconception often leads to purchasing errors, where the TV doesn’t fit a media console or appears disproportionate on a wall.

For modern 16:9 widescreen TVs, this translates to practical dimensions: a slim-bezel 55-inch model is roughly 48 inches wide and 27 inches tall, ideal for standard media consoles, while a 75-inch stretches to about 66 inches wide and 37 inches tall, perfect for open living rooms or wall mounting.

Matching Screen Size to Viewing Distance

Beyond fitting the TV into your room, viewing comfort is just as important. Larger screens create a more immersive field of view, ideal for sport, gaming and blockbuster films, but they must match your seating distance.

TCL recommends the following viewing distances for optimal comfort with 4K resolution:

65-inch TV → approximately 1.8–2 metres

75-inch TV → approximately 2.3 metres

85-inch TV → approximately 2.6 metres

98-inch TV → approximately 3 metres

115-inch TV → approximately 3.5 metres

“As screen technology improves, particularly with 4K and Mini LED innovations, viewers can sit closer without losing clarity,” says Chen. “The key is balancing immersion with comfort. A screen that’s too large for a small bedroom can cause visual fatigue, while a screen that’s too small for a large living room won’t deliver the cinematic impact consumers expect.”

The Sweet Spot for South African Living Rooms

According to TCL, the ideal screen size depends on viewing distance. For a sofa positioned about 2.5 metres from the TV, a 65-inch screen is typically the sweet spot. That’s where the TCL C6K comes in. As a standout in TCL’s current range, the C6K delivers premium QD-Mini LED performance in screen sizes perfectly suited to modern South African living rooms.

TVs like the TCL C6K combine advanced Mini LED backlight control, high brightness levels and refined picture contrast with screen sizes that align with the most common local viewing distances, particularly the 65-inch and 75-inch range.

“The C6K offers the ideal balance of size, performance and value,” says Chen. “It’s large enough to feel cinematic, powerful enough to showcase next-generation picture quality, yet proportioned perfectly for most living rooms.”

A Structural Shift Toward Large-Format Viewing

Industry trends show consumers are no longer upgrading TVs purely on impulse. Screen size selection has become a considered technical decision, influenced by room layout, mounting preferences and picture technology.

“We’re seeing a clear move toward intentional home entertainment design,” Chen concludes. “Consumers aren’t just buying bigger screens, they’re investing in better viewing experiences. The C6K represents that evolution: intelligent sizing, advanced Mini LED precision and premium performance, all in one cohesive platform.”

Johannesburg, 7 January 2026 – TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics and the world’s No. 1 Mini LED and ultra-large TV brand, today unveils a new generation of visual technology breakthroughs and AI-powered products at CES 2026. This year, TCL introduces a series of world-first display panels, display technologies, and products, along with a full portfolio of intelligent devices designed to elevate smart living, immersive entertainment, and productivity.

A Glimpse into the Future of Displays

TCL continues to push the boundaries of display technologies that span all screen sizes, from large to small. At its CES 2026 showcase, TCL marks the global debut of its SQD-Mini LED Technology, representing a revolutionary leap in Mini LED performance. By transforming the local dimming zone of conventional Mini LEDs into Precise Dimming Series, it enables precise light control across the entire screen and delivers exceptional performance in both highlights and shadows. It also incorporates TCL’s industry-leading Super QLED technology and an Ultra Colour Filter Panel, achieving a longer service life, better colour performance, and higher peak brightness. Furthermore, it offers a more stable global high colour gamut, more precise light control, and a more refined appearance.

Also showcased is the world’s first TV powered by SQD-Mini LED technology – the TCL X11L. The TV achieves up to 100% BT.2020 All-Scene Wide Colour Gamut and features CSOT’s WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel for better colour performance, higher native contrast and sharper picture quality. With up to 20,736 precise dimming zones and up to 10,000 nits, HDR content appear vivid and lifelike on this TV. The X11L also stands out with a sleek, nearly 2 cm-thinner and Virtually ZeroBorder design. For audio, it features Audio by Bang & Olufsen, offering a premium sound experience.

TCL’s collaborations with Gemini integration for Google TV and Dolby Vision 2 brings exciting upgrades to display experiences at CES 2026. Building on last year’s debut of the first “Always On” Google TV with Gemini, this year’s models will add even more intuitive ways to interact with your TV, including enhanced Google Photos search, new creative features with Nano Banana and Veo, and more. TCL also demonstrated Dolby Vision 2, the next generation of Dolby Vision, designed to deliver exceptional visual experiences through Content Intelligence, cinematic detail, and viewing environment awareness. Dolby Vision 2 is planned to be rolled out to TCL’s X and C TV lineups in 2026 via OTA updates.

TCL Unpacks Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Upgrade to 4K

Johannesburg, 9 December 2025 | As South Africans continue to embrace richer, more immersive entertainment at home, TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics, is urging consumers to future-proof their setups by upgrading to 4K. With four times the pixel count of Full HD, upgraded motion clarity and lifelike colour reproduction, 4K has moved from being a high-end luxury to the everyday standard for households wanting better movies, gaming and streaming experiences.

“4K is no longer an optional upgrade, it’s the new baseline for how people want to experience entertainment,” says Mr. Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa. “Whether you’re watching sports, gaming with friends or streaming your favourite series, 4K brings every moment to life in a way that simply wasn’t possible five years ago.”

Why 4K Has Become the Global Standard

4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) delivers four times the detail of 1080p Full HD, transforming everything from weeknight TV to weekend movie marathons. As production studios, game developers and streaming platforms shift heavily into 4K, South Africans finally have access to the content, and the affordable devices, that make the leap worthwhile.

“Consumers are no longer accepting ‘good enough.’ They want sharper detail, richer colours and bigger screens, and they want all of it at an accessible price,” Chen explains. “That’s exactly where TCL’s innovation comes in.”

Understanding 4K vs Other Resolutions

As consumers look to upgrade, understanding the differences between resolutions has become increasingly important. While 1080p still works for smaller screens, the moment viewers move to TVs 55 inches or larger, the benefits of 4K become unmistakable – edges are sharper, colours more vivid, and visuals noticeably more detailed. Even 2K, a modest step up from Full HD, falls short of the depth, texture and precision that 4K provides, especially for gaming and creative work. Ultra-high-end 8K displays may exist, but content availability remains extremely limited and prices remain high. This is why 4K hits the perfect balance between performance, affordability, and practicality.

The Benefits of Upgrading to 4K

In everyday use, 4K resolution fundamentally changes the entertainment experience. Nature documentaries reveal tiny details like water droplets and fabric textures; movies appear more cinematic and expressive; and work tasks become easier as text and graphics appear noticeably clearer on 4K monitors. Gamers also benefit from hyper-detailed environments and smoother motion, particularly when paired with modern 120Hz–144Hz refresh rates.

“4K has shifted from a premium option to the smart choice for every home,” Chen says. “As technology evolves, people shouldn’t have to choose between quality and affordability, and TCL is committed to ensuring that consumers get both.”

Upgrading to 4K also brings long-term value. As streaming services, gaming consoles and content platforms increasingly adopt 4K as the standard, households investing today are ensuring their setups remain relevant for years. “When South Africans invest in a TV, they want something that lasts,” Chen continues. “4K is not a trend, it’s the industry benchmark, and it’s here to stay.”

Next-Generation Colour and Clarity with the TCL C6K

At the heart of TCL’s 2025 lineup is the newly launched TCL C6K, a standout 4K QD Nini-LED TV designed for users who want premium quality without the premium price tag. The C6K combines quantum dot colour performance with high brightness, rich contrast, and ultra-slim design, making it an ideal choice for modern living rooms and bedrooms.

With support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and advanced gaming features like ALLM and a 144Hz native refresh rate, the C6K delivers spectacular visuals whether you’re streaming, gaming, or watching live sports. It also features TCL’s latest smart OS for faster navigation and seamless access to the world’s biggest streaming platforms.

Future-Proof Upgrade for Every Household

Upgrading to 4K brings more than stunning visuals — it delivers a richer, smoother, more immersive experience that makes everyday entertainment more enjoyable. With a full range of 4K options, including QD-Mini LED, Mini LED, QLED, and versatile budget-friendly models, TCL ensures that every household can find a screen that meets their needs.

TCL and Call of Duty® Unite to Elevate the Launch of Black Ops 7 With Next-Generation QD-Mini LED Immersion

Johannesburg, South Africa, 17 November 2025 | TCL Electronics, a global leader in consumer technology, recognised as the Global No. 1 Ultra-Large Screen TV Brand (OMDIA 2024) and a prominent pioneer in home appliances, announced the expansion of its partnership with Call of Duty® alongside the global rollout of Black Ops 7. Returning as the Official TV Partner, TCL is aligning its newest QD-Mini LED technology with one of the most anticipated releases of the year, offering players an elevated visual experience designed to bring every mission, environment and detail to life.

Big-Screen Immersion for the Black Ops Universe

Call of Duty is designed for scale, detail and fast-paced tactical action—elements that come to life on big-screen displays. TCL’s QD-Mini LED TVs amplify these moments with precision dimming, high refresh rates and refined brightness that help players track movement, read environments and respond with accuracy.

TCL C7K — Higher Brightness, More Precision and Enhanced Visual Depth

Stepping up in performance, the C7K incorporates up to 2,800 local dimming zones and 3,000 nits peak brightness to deliver greater contrast and realism on a big screen. With a 144Hz native refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and optimized Game Modes with improved audio, and motion stays exceptionally smooth and responsive even during high-intensity sequences. The C7K’s elevated HDR performance enhances visibility of textures, UI elements and lighting, creating a more immersive and finely detailed experience for players stepping into the world of Black Ops 7.

TCL C6K — Fast, Fluid and Built for Players Who Prioritise Responsiveness

The C6K delivers smooth, stable performance with a 144Hz native refresh rate, VRR support and low input lag suited for fast-paced encounters. Its QD-Mini LED backlight features hundreds of dimming zones, improving visibility in darker areas of the map and helping players identify environmental details that matter in close combat. For big-screen gaming setups, the C6K offers fluidity and speed that competitive players value.

TCL C8K — Flagship Performance for Maximum Immersion on the Biggest Screens

Set to launch in South Africa in 2026, the C8K is engineered for players seeking the most cinematic and commanding display possible. With up to 3,840 local dimming zones and peak brightness reaching 4,500 – 5,000 nits peak brightness (size-dependent), the C8K produces exceptional clarity, depth and Halo control. Combined with its 4K 144Hz display, ultra-fast motion handling, and premium QD colour accuracy, the C8K delivers a

powerhouse visual experience tailored for next-generation consoles. Its QLED technology further enhances this performance by producing an ultra-wide colour range—covering 97% of the DCI-P3 spectrum—bringing over a billion rich, lifelike colours to the screen for truly immersive gameplay.

Game Master Technology: Optimised for Competitive Play

All three models feature TCL’s Game Master suite—a dedicated set of gaming tools that automatically activates low-latency performance modes, manages VRR/FreeSync stability, and provides a quick-access gaming dashboard for real-time adjustments. Shadow enhancement features also improve visibility in darker areas, giving players clearer insight during tactical moments.

Wide Viewing Angle for Shared and Multi-Position Play

TCL’s QD-Mini LED lineup also offers improved wide-angle viewing, maintaining brightness and colour accuracy even when players are not seated directly in front of the screen. Whether gaming from different positions or playing co-op with friends, picture consistency remains intact—an essential advantage for large-screen setups.

A Strengthened Partnership Built on Years of Collaboration

TCL and Call of Duty share a long-standing partnership that has grown alongside the evolution of the gaming landscape. Over the years, TCL has supported multiple franchise releases, global creator events and regional gaming activations, consistently aligning its display innovations with the visual standards of the Call of Duty universe.

From previous Black Ops titles to this year’s Call of Duty®: NEXT, TCL has collaborated closely with Activision to understand the needs of players and enhance gaming-driven features across its lineup. With Black Ops 7, the partnership enters a new chapter combining advanced QD-Mini LED technology with one of the most iconic franchises in modern gaming.

“Call of Duty has always pushed visual innovation,” said Scott Ramirez, Vice President of Product Marketing and Development, TCL Home Theater. “With Black Ops 7 and our newest QD-Mini LED televisions, we are delivering the brightness, contrast and motion handling needed to experience the game as its creators intended.”

“Our partnership with Call of Duty reflects our shared focus on delivering immersive, high-performance experiences for players. With Black Ops 7 and our latest QD-Mini LED lineup, we’re delivering the level of clarity, motion precision and responsiveness today’s players expect from a next-generation gaming display.” Said Mr. Majid Khan Niazi, Marketing Director, TCL Middle East & Africa.

Johannesburg, 11 November 2025 | In today’s hyper-connected world, the living room is no longer just a place to unwind, it’s the epicentre of smart living. Smart TVs are fast becoming the control centres of connected homes, and brands like TCL are helping shape what that looks like. With its latest smart TV range, including the feature-rich C6K model, TCL is bridging the gap between entertainment and intelligent living through seamless Internet of Things (IoT) integration.

Today’s smart TVs offer far more than entertainment, they’re capable of managing a wide range of connected devices across the home. TCL’s latest models, like the just-released C6K for example, include built-in IoT capabilities that support voice assistants and smart platforms. These allow users to manage and interact with their entire connected home all from one screen or a single voice command.

Seamless Control, Smarter Living

TCL’s IoT-enabled TVs are designed to transform ordinary homes into connected ecosystems. Compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and the TCL Home App, these TVs serve as command hubs for all your smart devices. From the couch, or even remotely via your phone, you can adjust air conditioning settings, dim or switch off lights, activate robot vacuums, start a load of laundry, monitor smart cameras and more.

Thanks to support for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth device protocols, TCL TVs can interface with a wide range of appliances and platforms. That means no more juggling remotes or switching between apps — control everything in your home from one place.

Everything, from One Screen

The modern home needs more than just smart devices, it needs devices that speak to each other. This kind of functionality is exactly what connected households are looking for, and what brands like TCL are now making standard. Using the TCL Home App, users can effortlessly sync, monitor, and control everything in real time.

Whether you’re streaming your favourite drama, adjusting the temperature for the perfect binge-watch setup, or checking if the washing machine has finished a cycle, it’s all done from one screen. This isn’t just about functionality; it’s about transforming how people interact with their homes. The TV becomes a dynamic, intuitive interface that adapts to your lifestyle, a digital concierge that connects you to your environment. Voice control allows users to operate appliances hands-free, whether it’s switching off lights, adjusting temperature, or launching a load of laundry, helping smart living feel less like a novelty and more like the new normal.

A Future-Proofed Entertainment Experience

As smart homes continue to evolve, TCL ensures its technology is future-ready. The latest models come equipped with quad-core processors for smooth multitasking, enhanced RAM and storage for app performance, AI-driven OS that learns user behaviour and suggests routines, support for firmware upgrades that keep the TV compatible with new IoT platforms and 4K resolution, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, ensuring entertainment quality isn’t sacrificed for utility The result? A TV that evolves with your needs, and your tech.

“Our vision has always been to integrate world-class technology with everyday convenience,” says Mr Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa. ” With IoT integration, our TVs go beyond entertainment. They become a smart interface for everyday tasks, allowing people to automate daily routines, control connected devices, and create smarter living environments, all from one screen. Whether it’s creating automation scenes, checking appliance statuses, or syncing devices across platforms, our TVs bring simplicity and intelligence into the heart of the home.”

TCL understands that South African households are increasingly embracing smart tech. That’s why the brand ensures its TVs integrate easily with locally available smart devices and services.

Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or just beginning your smart home journey, TCL’s IoT-enabled TVs offer a seamless bridge between lifestyle and innovation. With intuitive control, intelligent design, and unmatched versatility, TCL is helping users reimagine what’s possible, not just on screen, but throughout the entire home.

TCL’s Tutti Choral A Game‑Changer In Home Entertainment Audio

Why buy a soundbar only to waste your TV speakers?

Johannesburg, 15 October 2025 | TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics, has launched an impressive new soundbar range that is setting a new standard for home entertainment audio. TCL’s new S-Series Soundbars, the S45H and S55H, are meant not merely as standalone audio devices, but as the essential audio partner for its acclaimed TCL C6K TV line. These soundbars introduce an integrated home entertainment ecosystem where advanced sound technology works in seamless harmony with TCL’s visual excellence.

The S-Series soundbars are designed to bring cinema-quality sound to everyday living spaces using the TCL TV Ready functionality. This technology allows the soundbar to seamlessly connect with the C6K TV and optimise audio output effortlessly. This synergy is powered by three proprietary breakthroughs: Tutti Choral, AI Sonic Adaption, and the Dolby Atmos™.

Tutti Choral: True Sound Synergy

Unlike conventional setups where connecting a soundbar disables the TV’s built-in speakers, TCL’s Tutti Choral technology allows both the soundbar and TV speakers to play in sync, creating a unified and expanded sound system. When the S-Series Soundbar is paired with a C6K TV, Tutti Choral combines the audio output from both devices, transforming a standard 2.1-channel soundbar and 1.2-channel TV speaker system into an impressive 4.2-channel surround experience.

The result is Dolby Atmos™ sound with rich, three-dimensional depth, enhanced clarity, and powerful definition across the full frequency spectrum, from crisp highs and detailed mids to deep, resonant bass. Whether you’re watching live sports, action-packed films, or streaming music, Tutti Choral ensures that every note, voice, and sound effect feels balanced, full, and lifelike. This is a first-of-its-kind innovation, exclusive to TCL, that redefines how connected sound should perform.

Looking ahead, TCL plans to roll out its Tutti Choral technology across future TV and soundbar models, ensuring that more consumers can experience this next-level, synchronised audio innovation throughout the TCL ecosystem.

Smarter Sound with AI Sonic Adaption

Both the S45H and S55H come equipped with AI Sonic Adaption, TCL’s advanced artificial intelligence sound optimiser. This technology uses intelligent spatial awareness to detect your room size, soundbar position, and even where you’re seated, analysing these variables using the remote’s frequency signals. It then dynamically channels audio to create a “sweet spot”, a zone of optimised sound projection that adapts to your environment in real time. Whether your living room is open-plan or compact, AI Sonic ensures sound remains perfectly balanced and directed where it matters most.

This level of personalisation ensures that dialogue remains crisp, bass stays controlled, and effects are perfectly placed, no matter how or where you watch. Simply put, AI Sonic Adaption lets the soundbar think for itself, giving users the best possible listening experience, without lifting a finger.

Integration of Dolby Atmos™

The integration of Dolby Atmos™ transforms the TCL S-Series and C6K TV pairing into a fully immersive entertainment system. When combined through Tutti Choral, Dolby Atmos™ leverages the expanded speaker channels to produce a 3D sound field, where high, mid, and low frequencies move fluidly around and above the listener.

When connected, the C6K and S-Series Soundbars generate an expansive, multidimensional soundscape that moves above and around you, delivering heightened realism and cinematic intensity. From sweeping orchestral scores to the roar of a Formula 1 engine, Dolby Atmos™ brings depth and spatial precision that matches the brilliance of TCL’s QLED visuals. It’s sound you can feel, immersive, emotional, and unforgettable.

Both models reflect TCL’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of sound innovation, offering powerful performance backed by Tutti Choral and AI Sonic Adaption technology — two proprietary breakthroughs that redefine how consumers experience movies, sport and gaming at home.

“We believe that incredible audio should be accessible and adaptive, adjusting instantly to whatever you’re watching or listening to,” said Mr Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa. “Our new S45H and S55H Soundbars adapt to your space, your content, and your lifestyle, bringing dynamic, balanced, and beautifully immersive sound into South African homes. These aren’t just soundbars, they’re everyday sound companions built to think, react, and perform. From the jaw-dropping detail of our Dual Horn Design to the intelligent balancing of AI Sonic, TCL is delivering an audio experience that you simply must hear to believe.”
