Johannesburg, 21 August 2026 – According to data from international analytics firm Omdia, the Middle East smartphone shipment declined 13% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, while HONOR grew 35%, becoming the only leading vendor to record growth. The brand has also maintained its TOP 2 position in terms of market share in the region for two consecutive quarters.

According to Omdia, HONOR also sustained robust growth in Africa in the first half of the year, surging by 53%. In the Southeast Asia, while the overall market experienced a decline in shipments in H1 2026, HONOR led TOP manufacturers with a 15% growth rate. HONOR has also become the fastest-growing top brand in core markets such as Malaysia and the Philippines, in Q2 2026.

The brand’s momentum continues in the premium segment too. According to IDC, HONOR ranked No.1 with over 50% shares in foldable smartphones in several key markets, including Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
