rAge open the doors to thousands of fans all amped and pumped for an exciting time at rAge.Coming through an entrance greeted by 2 hall opposite each other. Hall 1 featuring amazing booths no matter where you look, my favorite being the rAge drive where you had the tournaments for day 1 Mortal Kombat 1 and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. There are many of the top peripheral brands showcasing their wares such as sony which had multiple PS5 stands with Marvel Spiderman 2 waiting to be played. Logitech had a few racing games with multiple steering wheel seats on amazing TVs with racing games ready to be started. MSi had a nice setup with multiple computers loaded with Fortnite Modern Warfare 3 Warzone and CSGO2. The Valorant cup was set next to ACGL which had an amazing stage and was set for deployment.

Suffice to say that awhole lot was going today at rAge in hall 1 then most people would visit. Hall 2 had a more artistic showcase where it had the Artist Alley and flea Market booths, the football lounge and a Mettlesattle Lounge had provided a place for you to relax in. On doritos side they hoisting the biggest LAN party for the year also providing internet, tables chairs and even beds for you. I went through the Aritst Alley and found some treasure trove booths that I found very unique and interesting. The Rowan Tree Ink had some mid century fantasy graphic design A4 and A3 art which reminded me of the beserk anime. The also had this cool iron on patch of super mushroom that they give away for free if you scan their barcode and follow their socials. Sundara Art Studio were selling alot of Marvel and DC figurines made of a certain marble material. They also have these cool Face magnets that will look amazing on my fridge.

If your been in a crazy store and thought they needed alittle more comic vibes the Novelty Nation got you down. They have a range of merch for DC, Marvel, Cartoons and anime. They got some nice cushions, a variety of mugs as well as see through Beer mugs, pencil cases, socks and even scrunchies. If your a potter head and looking for charms wands and the likes, there’s always the Cupboard under the Stairs. Wands for all, amazing ornaments ( i like the Dobbie ornaments), crystal balls, dragons and Voldermort sticker.

If your interested in all things Steampunk which is not Cyberpunk guys, then the Dreampunk Steamporium is present at rAge. With a high Victorian steampunk theme to all their merch which include some plushie stuff animals ( I want Grogu) a ton of steam punk ornaments, top hats and glasses. If your feeling for some simple cartoony apparel then Wildnita has the cute things for you. They have stickers, a variety of earrings which every women will fawn for, accessories and plushies.

I came across a knitted booth that hand some cool stuff definitely a see. All the merch was knitted by one person and are amazing ranging from accessories to keychains, clothes plushies and the works. If your looking for a clock then VInyl Revolutions has the most creative ones for you. Laser cutting some main stream AAA titles its a unique and fresh viewing. They also have some big paintings that would catch any collectors eye.Another tattoo booth to get some ink is Shitty Wizard Tattoos. They got a wide array of merch and many man of culture merch (If you know. You Know). Any comic readers at rAge will be happy to know there is a booth selling orignal comics. Comic Must Have has a great variety of comics for you to choose from if your in the mood to be finishing your collections.

Any adventurers moving at comic con will be happy to know that there are stores that sell all things dungeons and dragons. GeekWare Shop has campaigns that will give you hours of make belief hack n slash as well as accessories, plushies and more.For more game collectors I did come accross one booth that sold retro games. Twisted Realms were selling second hand gaming consoles as well as a buttload of games that bring back your childhood and the amazing memories of playing these amazing games. With such a variety of things to see at rAge 1 thing I was not expecting was to see a bed booth. HiddenBedsSA is unique bed manufacturing company that makes the most inspired beds mostly centered around bring max comfortability to gamers.

To the gothics that walk the hallowed halls of Gallagher convention centre fret not for the dark booth of Little Shop of Strange Gothic will shade you from the light. They’ve got some cool skulls, dream catchers ouija boards accessories and clothes. On a different road to rAge there is a nice booth called Madness 30 Brink Design. Its like a carpentry booth where they utilize a 3D printer to make some call stuff. I got to play with P90 submachine gun that shoots rubber bands, made with exceptional detail it was amazing to hold. They also sell paint and tabletop figurines.

While there are a few board game booths I came across a very South African board game booth called Mzansi Most Wanted Sports. They have a board game called Morabaraba which is a board game similar to checkers. If your at home during rAge they do have the Morabaraba game on the play store for free so go ahead and give it a try. For anime fans there a endless stores to go and see during rAge for all types of merch but some unique ones that Ive found was this snow globe type pokemon balls. They had crazy amount of different pokemon posing in a cool landscape pokeball shaped globe that lights up. They do have other anime accessories but those pokeglobes were my favorite. You can find these at the Chaos Kraft booth.

All in all rAge brought amazing amount of culture anime gaming cultrue to South Africa and being enthusiastic in these type of things myself it was a great experience to be a rAge. If you missed rAge this year I advice you to try it next year because its great fun for not just you but your whole family.
